A good Samaritan is being praised for saving four Lake Michigan swimmers in Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Fire Department was called at around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday on a report of swimmers in distress off the shore of King Park.
Firefighters and Sheboygan Police were sent to the scene, where they learned about the heroic actions of the unnamed good Samaritan.
The four swimmers were transported to a local hospital with what were termed non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheboygan Fire Department is reminding anyone on Lake Michigan, whether in a boat or in the water, to wear a life jacket and to be aware of the potential dangers of being in or on the lake.
