
One person was injured after a vehicle crashed into the retention pond on the Acuity Insurance property.
The Sheboygan Communications Center received a call reporting the incident in the 2800 block of South Taylor Drive just before 1:30 p.m.
Sheboygan Fire and Police along with Sheriff’s Deputies and the Wisconsin State Patrol all responded to the scene and found the driver had escaped the vehicle before it went under the water.
The lone occupant was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while the Sheboygan County Dive team assisted a towing company in getting the vehicle out of the pond.
What exactly led up to the crash has not yet been determined.
