Last week we reported that as a part of 37 closures around the country, one of the Wells Fargo locations in Sheboygan is closing.
We were contacted by Mike Slusark, the Lead Communications Consultant for Wells Fargo in Wisconsin and Iowa, and he explained that the only banking location to close is the downtown branch, and that shut down will go into effect on November 1st.
The branches at 2800 Calumet Drive and 1251 Wilson Avenue will remain open. In the statement, Slusark also said “This is not an easy decision or one we take lightly. Branches continue to play an important role in the way we serve our customers, and we continuously evaluate our branch network in light of changing customer needs, the increase in the use of digital banking and market factors.”
Wells Fargo will continue to offer alternative options for banking including ATMs, mail, online, and the Wells Fargo Mobile app.
