Authorities in Trempealeau County are actively seeking the individual or individuals responsible for releasing a substantial number of mink from a farm over the past weekend.
The group known as the Animal Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that they were behind the release of around three thousand mink from a farm situated in the Town of Lincoln on the previous Saturday.
The sheriff’s office is actively pursuing leads and encourages anyone with potential information that could aid in identifying a suspect or facilitating an arrest to come forward.
The Animal Liberation Front’s declared motive for the release was to disrupt the farm’s operations with the intent of causing its closure.
