A local endowment is celebrating 30 years of advancing conservation in Manitowoc County.
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish and Game received an estate gift in June of 1993, which then turned into a charitable trust.
The trust was to be used on projects related to hunting, fishing, conservation, and related education in Manitowoc County.
And thus, the FORWARD, or Friends Of Resources Wildlife And Recreational Development, Endowment was formed.
With the support of Manitowoc County Fish & Game and many local donors, the FORWARD Endowment has become a major tool in helping projects benefiting the public good completed.
This fund has since grown fifteen-fold, becoming a leading tool for local conservation clubs, non-profits, and governments.
