
A motorcyclist from Calumet County had to be airlifted to a hospital after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.
According to the crash report from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, the 37-year-old man from Sherwood was riding his bike west on County Highway V at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
As he approached the intersection with County Highway Q, he failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting the side of a car being driven by a 73-year-old Maribel woman.
The cyclist was airlifted from the scene with a broken leg and possible shoulder injuries while the woman suffered only minor cuts.
The cyclist is also being cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign, Operating a Motorcycle without a Valid License, and Non-Registration of Auto.
