Authorities in Madison have reported an incident involving the covert recording of individuals within a restroom during the recent CrossFit Games held over the weekend.
Detectives have identified the suspect as Thai Tran, who allegedly employed a cellphone to film two men while they were using a urinal within the premises of the Alliant Energy Center.
According to court documents, Tran’s actions included using zoom functionality to focus on sensitive areas.
The two men who were inadvertently recorded have disclosed that they had a sense of suspicion during the occurrence, although they confirm that they did not grant Tran any form of consent to capture their images.
Tran, a resident of Tennessee, was presented in court yesterday, during which a presiding judge established his bail at $500.
