Last week, we reported that crews were searching for a missing paddle-boarder who had been reported as missing.
At around 10:00 Tuesday morning, the body of the 49-year-old woman was located on the shore of Port Washington.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a fisherman was casting a line when he spotted a body.
He called the police, and they confirmed it was indeed the woman they had been looking for, Teresa Stiff of Mukwonago.
The investigation is ongoing pending the autopsy results, but the initial investigation indicates that the cause of death was accidental drowning.
