It was a night to forget for the Green Bay Rockers as they were bullied off the field by the Madison Mallards 13-0.
The Mallards tagged starting pitcher Grayson Walker for 5 runs on 7 hits through the first two innings, and reliever Bryce Crabb for 3 more runs on 4 hits through the next four innings.
Tucker Isbell had an odd stat line in the 7th inning as he didn’t allo0w a hit, but still have up 4 runs while walking 3 batters and his fielders committed 4 errors.
Isbell was pulled after recording two outs, and Jason Jennerjohn closed out the 7th and 8th allowing only 1 more run on 3 hits.
Conor Nolen finished the game strong, striking out a pair of batters in the 9th and not allowing a hit.
At the plate, the Rockers scattered 7 hits, but couldn’t bring anyone home.
Max Mims was the only Rocker to record multiple hits, going 2 for 4.
Green Bay will have to shake it off quickly as they will take on the Mallards again tonight at Capital Credit Union Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. with Ty Thurman slated to start for Green Bay.
