Work has begun on a 32,000-square-foot expansion of Amerequip’s manufacturing facility in Kiel.
Hamann Construction out of Manitowoc is responsible for the project, which will see the construction of a custom Ceco metal building.
The entire plant, with the new addition, will measure in at roughly 350,000 square feet.
Amerequip President and CEO Mike Vander Zanden said in a news release that this project will “provide assembly space for new business we have been awarded as well as room for additional shipping and receiving.”
Additionally, Amerequip will be looking to add 25-30 new employees to its workforce, bumping them up to 375 to 380 workers at the plant.
