A Green Bay woman has been arrested for her role in an apartment fire over the weekend.
Fire crews and police were called to an apartment complex on Eastman Drive Saturday evening on a report of a fire.
Someone who lived in the building had reportedly pulled 39-year-old Sara Martinez out of her unit through a window as smoke was pouring out.
Martinex was lying on the ground near that window when authorities arrived.
When questioned by police, she admitted to starting the fire and that she was intoxicated.
Martinez had also told authorities about a month prior that she wanted to burn the building down, but it’s not clear if any action was taken at the time.
Martinez was arrested on a charge of Felony Arson of a Building, while the damage was limited to about $5,000 worth.
