
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers fell behind early and never recovered in South Bend Indiana last night falling to the Cubs 13-4.
Starting pitcher Alexander Cornille was chased off the mound in the first inning after giving up four hits, four walks, and six runs.
Karlos Morales came on for 2 and two-thirds innings of relief without allowing another run, but Michele Vassalotti would give up a pair in his two innings of work.
Nick Merkel would then give up 3 runs over 2 innings, and Alex hall would end the game by allowing 2 more runs in the 8th.
A total of 14 hits were scattered by Cubs’ batters while Wisconsin could only muster 4.
They were also held scoreless until the 9th, where they platted 4 runs, but it was too little too late.
The Rattlers will look to shake it off tonight as they are back at Four Winds Field for a 6:05 start in game 4 of the series.
Additionally, the Green Bay Rockers had their game suspended last night due to the weather.
The Rockers and Lakeshore Chinooks had their game called in the 6th with the game knotted at 1.
Play will resume at Kapco Park today and will be followed by their regularly scheduled matchup at 6:35 p.m.
