
Strong pitching was needed by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers last night as they defeated the South Bend Cubs 4-2.
Cameron Wagoner started on the bump for the Rattlers and gave his team 6 innings of 3-hit ball where he allowed 1 run and struck out 7 batters.
Sam Gardner had 2 innings in relief, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three.
Tanner Sheers go the save allowing just one base runner and striking out two in the 9th.
Alex Hall was on fire at the plate, going 3 for 4 while Eduardo Garcia scattered a pair of hits, including a run-scoring triple.
The win knots the six-game series at one apiece, and the two teams will return to Four Winds Field this evening.
Alexander Cornielle will get the start in South Bend, Indiana with a first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
