A fire in Greenfield has left five people injured, including a firefighter, and more than a dozen individuals are now seeking new homes.
The incident occurred at an apartment complex near 60th and Cold Spring yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews responded promptly to the blaze, rescuing at least two people, with one individual found hanging out of a window.
Among the rescued, two individuals were taken to the hospital for medical attention, while the firefighter’s injuries were minor.
The fire has caused 15 people to be displaced from their homes.
The Red Cross has stepped in to assist these displaced individuals in finding alternative living arrangements.
As of now, the exact cause of the fire has not been disclosed by Greenfield firefighters.
Investigations into the origin and factors contributing to the incident are likely underway.
