Madison law enforcement successfully apprehended a 15-year-old teenager who was accused of car theft in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The incident began near the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Milwaukee Street when police initiated a pursuit after the stolen vehicle.
During the chase, spike strips were deployed, causing the teen to bring the stolen car to a stop near Stoughton Road.
In an attempt to evade capture, the teenager tried to flee on foot, but law enforcement officers swiftly apprehended him.
Subsequently, the 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Dane County Juvenile Reception Center.
The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, and the appropriate legal proceedings will be followed to address the allegations against the teenager.
