Cedar Rapids Kernels 8-7. The Kernels forced starting pitcher Cameron Wagoner off the mound after only two outs as they plated four runs, bringing on Miguel Guerrero.
He then gave up a two-run home run, but one of those runs was credited to Wagoner.
Guerrero would give up another run in his four and one-third innings of work, but Michael Vassalotti and Shane Smith would slam the door shut, giving up just one hit over the final three innings.
Down 7-0, the Rattlers would bounce back in the 2nd inning, scoring 5 runs.
They would score again in the 3rd and 6th innings, and the winning run was batted in by Hendry Mendez as he beat out a double play.
The Rattlers will look to keep the momentum going in their favor tonight in game three of their six-game series with Cedar Rapids.
Brandon Woodruff will get a rehab start tonight at Fox Cities Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
