Cudahy authorities are actively seeking information about two young women involved in a disturbing theft from a charity event aimed at supporting children who have suffered burns in fires.
The incident occurred during a fundraiser for Joe’s “K” Ranch and the Cudahy Lions Club, where the suspects made off with an estimated $6,000 in cash.
The charity event, which took place on Sunday, was intended to provide much-needed assistance to these vulnerable kids.
According to investigators, the two women managed to snatch a bank bag filled with funds, and they were aided by a male accomplice who facilitated their escape.
In an effort to identify the perpetrators, the Cudahy Police have released images of the three individuals online, hoping that someone will come forward with vital information.
The stolen money would have been used to enable children with severe burns to experience the joys of a camp, offering them support and a positive environment during their recovery.
