
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were held to just one hit in their 4-1 loss to the Cedar Rapids Kernels last night at Fox Cities Stadium.
Robert Moore was the only Wisconsin batter to do any damage, as his lone hit of the day also drove in the Rattlers’ only run.
Nate Peterson got the start on the mound and went 4 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run.
Nick Merkel suffered the loss for his 3 innings of work where he gave up 3 hits and 1 run.
Karlos Morals closed out the final 2 frames, allowing a pair of hits and a pair of runs, both of which were solo home runs.
The Rattlers will look to shake it off today, as they will be back on their home diamond at 12:10 p.m. for game two of a six-game series against Cedar Rapids.
