The S.S. Badger Carferry is still out of commission following a malfunction last week.
The Badger crew issued an update Monday, explaining that one of the two lifting structures for the ramp used to load and unload the ship collapsed into the water.
No injuries were sustained and the ship herself is undamaged, but the incident put the cross-lake service on hold.
Marine contractors are expected to begin removing the old ramp lifting equipment today (July 25th).
In the update letter, the Badger crew said “Our passengers are important to us, and we know how much they enjoy riding the Badger. We look forward to having them back aboard shortly to enjoy the great trip across the lake and some Badger Bingo.”
