If you were planning on boarding the S.S. Badger sometime soon, you will have to make other plans.
The Lake Michigan Carferry announced that early this morning (July 21st) there was a mechanical failure in the ramping system, which caused them to suspend the cross-lake service.
Work is being done to try to fix the problem as quickly as possible, but as of right now, the problem is being assessed.
In the statement, the operators said “We apologize to our customers for this unexpected interruption in our service, and we appreciate their patience as we work to resolve the issue.”
