
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers pounded out double-digit hits for the third night in a row to take down the Dayton Dragons 11-2.
The bulk of Wisconsin’s scoring came in the 4th inning when they plated 6 runs against a pair of Dayton pitchers.
That inning included a two-run homer from Matthew Wood.
The entire Rattler lineup picked up at least one hit, but leading the way were Wood and Je’Von Ward, who each went 3-5.
Wood’s 3 RBIs were matched by Jose Acosta, who had a two-run shot in the 2nd inning.
On the mound, Alexander Cornielle gave up both Dragon runs through 4 innings of work while also striking out 4 batters.
Nick Merkel would get the win in four innings of work where he only allowed one hit and struck out 5 batters.
Michele Vassalotti would face one batter in the 9th before a sudden downpour caused the game to be called.
The Rattlers will look to make it four wins in a row tonight against the Dragons.
Tyler Woessner will get eh start for Wisconsin and will face Hunter Parks
