The man who engaged in a five-hour standoff with police in Appleton has been sentenced.
37-year-old Torey Robinson was ordered by a federal court to spend five years in prison on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Police reports say that Robinson approached an Appleton Police Officer, who was in a squad car at the time, and asked if they had level four plates in their body armor.
The officer then noted that Robinson was circling the block and acting suspiciously.
Later, officers were sent to a home in the 1100 block of North Leminwah Street on a report of shots being fired.
Robinson exited the home for a brief moment when police arrived and fired a rifle into the air.
After a five-hour standoff, he was detained.
