A woman whose death is under investigation in Eau Claire County has been identified as 77-year-old Diane Berthold.
According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, although her death is regarded as suspicious, it seems to be an isolated occurrence and does not pose any danger to the community.
Last Thursday evening, deputies were dispatched to a residence on McElroy Court in the Town of Washington, where they discovered Berthold’s body and an 81-year-old man requiring medical assistance.
