The Fourth of July weekend in Milwaukee was marked by a significant surge in violence.
Authorities have reported that a total of 22 individuals were shot between Saturday and yesterday, resulting in the tragic deaths of two teenagers.
One of these fatal incidents occurred shortly after Milwaukee’s fireworks display on Monday night.
Additionally, the Milwaukee Police Department has indicated that five individuals were shot on the actual Fourth of July, including a 25-year-old woman who sustained injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.
The incidents reflect a distressing escalation of violence during the holiday weekend in the city.
