Southeast Wisconsin is still under an air quality warning issued by the state’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
The warning is expected to remain in place until noon today (June 30th).
It is worth noting that while the air quality in southeast Wisconsin is poor, the worst air quality in the state is currently observed in the southwestern corner.
The DNR attributes the unhealthy air conditions in Wisconsin to the smoke emanating from wildfires in Canada.
According to forecasters, there is hope for improvement as a shift in the wind pattern is expected to help drive some of the smoke out of the state starting later today.
This shift in winds may lead to better air quality in the affected regions of Wisconsin.
It is advisable to follow updates from local authorities, the DNR, and weather forecasts for the most accurate and up-to-date information on air quality conditions and any related warnings or advisories.
