A local chef is inviting the Manitowoc community to celebrate his 50th birthday this weekend.
The man affectionately known as “Miracle Myke” Hollahan tells us that the party will take place in the parking lot where the Food Truck Rallies have been held, right across from the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
While turning 50 is always a big milestone, Myke tells us this one is even more special due to his near-death experience earlier this year.
“My wife woke up to me gurgling, and was like ‘What’s wrong?’ Then *snap*I was dead for four and a half minutes,” Myke explained. “She did CPR, broke seven of my ribs, and saved me. The doctors were completely baffled by it because they had never seen anything like it. It’s a pretty rare thing to have happen.”
Since the party is celebrating his 50th birthday, Myke and his family figured what better theme than the 1950s.
I’m gonna have a 50s rockabilly band come from Milwaukee called Bruce Humphries and the Rockabilly Rebels,” Myke revealed. “I’m gonna have a bunch of food trucks come…we are going to have our bar open, I’m probably going to have my food truck out there too.”
