According to investigators, a recent inspection had cleared the small plane that crash-landed in Waunakee last week.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) revealed that merely hours before its departure, a mechanic had given their approval for the aircraft.
Unfortunately, the plane’s journey was short-lived as it was compelled to make an emergency landing on a street within the city limits of Waunakee.
Miraculously, both the pilot and the passenger emerged from the crash unharmed.
The NTSB has refrained from disclosing the exact cause behind the power failure and subsequent descent of the plane.
