A teenager in Green Bay is facing charges after he rammed a stolen car into a police vehicle and nearly ran over an officer on foot.
It all began on June 21st when an officer attempted to pull over a Kia Sportage that had been reported stolen.
The car was seen in the area of North Washington and Main Streets at around 1:30 p.m.
But, according to police dash cam footage, the driver, later identified as 17-year-old Darian Pinchart, would not pull over, so an additional squad car was used to bock him in.
However, the teen then backed into the trailing squad car, and pulled onto the sidewalk, nearly hitting the other officer who was on foot.
The chase was terminated, but the car was found a short time later, unoccupied, in the area of Pine and North Roosevelt Streets.
A K9 unit was called, and they were able to locate Pinchart.
He has been charged with Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Knowingly Fleeing or Eluding or Attempting to Flee or Elude an Officer, Driving or Operating a Vehicle Without the Owner’s Consent, and Obstructing an Officer.
