According to officials, 13 people have passed away in the state this year while operating off-road vehicles.
DNR Warden Marcus Medina claims to have witnessed numerous instances in which helmets and UTV seatbelts have prevented fatalities.
Riders are also being urged by authorities to check the condition of their vehicles before venturing into secluded areas.
