An Appleton family has lost everything in a fire over the weekend.
According to the Appleton Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a single-family residence in the 2200 block of East Downs Ridge at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
They arrived to find heavy flames in the attic, and smoke coming from the rear of the structure.
The fire was described as being “well-advanced”, and crews that had entered to look for people inside were evacuated in anticipation of a collapse.
It is not clear if anyone was injured, but we do know the home was considered a total loss.
