Republican legislators in Wisconsin are recommending sizable reductions in income taxes.
The state budget committee unveiled measures yesterday that would reduce residents’ income tax burden by a combined $3.65 billion.
The proposal would change the number of tax brackets from four to three, with a corresponding decrease in rates for each bracket.
Republicans in Congress are remaining steadfast in their opposition to the University of Wisconsin System’s planned investments of $32 million in diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
