The suspect has been taken into custody in Janesville after a more than two-hour standoff with police.
On Wednesday night, there were reports of a domestic disturbance and the presence of a gun in an apartment on North Washington Avenue.
According to reports, suspect William Stephens initially resisted coming forward.
Stephens was taken into custody after two hours of talks with SWAT personnel.
Stephens did leave the house without further incident.
