Due to an increase in vandalism, the restrooms at public parks in Kaukauna will be closed at night.
The City of Kaukauna announced that the vandalism has been reported and documented “at multiple parks, on different surfaces/structures, stolen street signs, etc.”
The nighttime closures are expected to help reduce the amount of vandalism and follow suit with what the City of Manitowoc did in early May.
Also citing vandalism issues, the City of Manitowoc began locking the bathroom doors at Washington and Red Arrow Parks at 9:00 p.m., a practice that will last through July 9th.
At that time, they plan to reassess.
