Betty J. Koenig, age 89 of Mishicot, died unexpectedly Monday evening, June 12, 2023 at her residence.
Survivors include her two sons & daughters-in-law: Rick and Karlene Koenig of Denmark, Terry and JoDee Koenig of Mishicot; her grandchildren: Rick (Stacy) Koenig, Jr., Patty Koenig and Mike Behrmann, Crystal and Don Wood; and her great-grandchildren: Makayla, Mariah, Paige Leigh, Courtney, and Josie; along with sisters-in-law: Lola Otto, Yvonne Evenson, and Milly Sheraski; nieces, nephews, many sheepshead players and breakfast friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Wilma Otto; her husband, Leo; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leo and Blanche Koenig, Sr; her sisters: Audrey Schneider, and Marilyn (Merle) Voelker; brothers: Roy (Diane) Otto, and Earl Otto (The Auctioneer); in-laws: Carl Sheraski, Dan Evenson, Lucy & Bob Yanda; nephews: Ronald, Steven, Donnie and Randy Otto; Toots; and her Best Friend, Lloyd Shoulak.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street in Mishicot. Christal Wavrunek will preside at the service, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Saturday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
