The child sexual assault case involving a school staff member, according to school administrators in Monroe, did not take place in a school building and has nothing to do with the institution at all.
Yesterday, prosecutors officially charged Andrew Swanston.
He has worked for the Monroe School District since 2021 as a member of the high school support staff.
Swanston is accused by the D.A. of abusing a child under the age of 12.
Swanston is being detained on a $50,000 cash bond.
