
The man accused of stabbing his mother in the neck earlier this week in Barron County is facing official charges.
Attempted first-degree intentional homicide charges were brought against Michael Townsend, 30.
Townsend allegedly stabbed his mother in the back of the neck on Monday morning following an argument over money, according to the sheriff of Barron County.
Townsend was detained while the mother was flown to Mayo in Eau Claire.
He is being detained on a $50,000 cash bail.
