
The first-day leader in Division 1 at the WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament is Sheboygan North.
The Golden Raiders top the large school team standings after shooting a 296 for an 8-stroke lead over Eau Claire Memorial on the Meadows Course at Blackwolf Run in Kohler.
Individually, Aiden Cudney of Kimberly and Parker Etzel of Eau Claire share the lead after shooting a 3 under 69 Monday.
Hogan Miller of North and De Pere’s Jack Weisenberger are tied for 5th, 4 shots back while the Golden Raiders Roberto Reyes and Mason Schmidtke carded 74s and teammate Brandon Bloechel was close behind with a 75.
The Division-2 team leader is Edgewood of Madison with a 308 total, 14 strokes better than Edgerton.
Andrew Kettle of Sheboygan Falls shot a 1 over 73 to trail Winneconne’s Winston Knobloch by 1 stroke.
And Cambridge is on top of Division 3 with a 323, 16 shots lower than Mineral Point and 29 strokes better than Sheboygan Lutheran in 3rd place.
Spencer Lynch of St. Mary Catholic holds the individual lead with a 76, one shot better than Kohler’s Reece Breitenbach who is tied for 2nd.
The second and final round of the tournament is going on today with players in Divisions 2 and 3 going out first, followed by D-1 golfers starting at noon.
