The Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum is hosting its annual open house soon.
The event is taking place June 10th from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. in their building at 1816 10th Street in Two Rivers.
Peter Crabbe, the Administrative Executive Director of the museum told us about the museum’s excitement for the occasion.
“We love to do this because we invite everybody in to come and see who we are, and we put on a nice show for everybody,” Crabbe explained. “During the day we have lots of activities to do, its very family-friendly, and…our crew over there just loves to have people in the museum. They love what they do and they love to show everybody around.”
The day will feature a variety of unique and hands-on activities including pulling your own print, a Scavenger Hunt, and demonstrations of tools and equipment in action.
Refreshments will be provided, but it doesn’t end there.
An extended celebration in the gallery at the New Impressions exhibit reception will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum commemorates the Hamilton Manufacturing Company’s effort in American printing and typography.
