A young girl from Kimberly died Friday (June 2nd) after being struck by a semi in Outagamie County.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the semi, which was being driven by 59-year-old Brian James Du Frane of Kaukauna, was traveling south on South Washington Street in Combined Locks just after 3:00 p.m.
Friday afternoon when he struck the girl. 9-year-old Mackenzie M. Van Eperen was walking at the time and later died from her injuries.
The State Patrol is continuing their investigation and it is not clear if any charges are forthcoming.
