A Manitowoc County organization is inviting those interested in foster care to an informational session later this month.
The meeting, hosted by the Manitowoc County Foster Care Program, is scheduled for Thursday, June 15th at the Manitowoc Public Library from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The session will teach those in attendance about foster care opportunities locally for children between 0 and 18 years of age.
While any interested individuals are invited to attend, The Manitowoc County Foster Car Program notes that the best foster parents are those who are flexible, have an open mind, and should be able to provide a high level of supervision.
They also say that “families, retired persons and singles are encouraged to consider fostering,” and that “foster parents receive financial compensation, training, and supportive services.”
Any questions can be emailed to FosterCareProgram@ManitowocCountyWI.gov, or called in at 920-683-4230.
