
The Green Bay Rockers kicked off their Northwoods League season this week with a pair of wins over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.
Game one was played in Fond du Lac, with the Rockers winning the offensive showdown 12-10.
Then, on Tuesday, the Rockers held off a late surge by the Spiders to win 9-5.
Kyle West led the offense with 3 hits and 4 RBI while Luke Moeller and AJ Anzai each put two balls in play and accounted for 3 RBI between them.
On the mound, Brett Sanchez got the win as the starter, going 6 innings, allowing four hits, and striking out five batters.
Luke Singleton and Tyler Horvath would come on in relief to strike out five more over the final two frames to secure the win.
The Rockers have another home game scheduled for today against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park. Cole Peschl is slated to get the start against Frankie Gulko.
