A man is facing charges after he allegedly drove his motorcycle erratically and fought with police.
The incident began on Saturday just after 2:30 a.m. when a Manitowoc police officer saw a man on a motorcycle turn onto Marshall Street from South 14th Street.
The officer noted that the bike accelerated at a high rate of speed and began to swerve on the roadway.
The officer took chase and noted that the suspect reached speeds of over 45 miles per hour as he approached Washington Street, and even reached speeds of over 70 miles per hour.
The chase was terminated, but the suspect was soon after spotted at a bar on North 8th Street by a different officer.
When that officer approached, a fight had broken out between the suspect and the officer.
The suspect was quickly handcuffed on the ground.
He was charged with his 2ND OWI, Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Resisting an Officer, Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated, and six counts of bail jumping, two misdemeanors and four felony.
