The Mishicot Indians softball team used a four-run 7th inning to come from behind and take down the Chilton Tigers in their Division 3 Regional Championship matchup.
Mishicot started the scoring right out the gate, tallying one run in the 1st inning, but the bats went silent from there.
The Tigers would tag Cora Stodola for a pair of runs in the 4th and 6th innings, but the Indians composed themselves and got the bats going in the final frame.
Karsyn Krause, Kiran Sanford, Baylie Carrico, and Emma Schmidt would all touch home plate to secure the comeback. Sanford, Schmidt, and Kaelin Adair had two hits apiece, while Stodola struck out 8 batters in a full game effort.
Elsewhere, New Holstein took down Southern Door 10-0 and will take on the Indians in the Sectional Semifinals next Tuesday.
Also, in the D-4 Regional Finals, St. Mary Catholic beat Reedsville 4-2, and Algoma topped St. Mary’s Springs 8-7.
