After being swept on their home field, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have now won two in a row on the road.
Wednesday’s 4-2, 10 inning win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels was Wisconsin’s 13th win of the season.
The game was all knotted up at one run apiece entering the 10th inning when Joe Gray Jr. Drove in three of the Timber Rattlers’ runs with one swing of the bat.
His three-run moonshot was enough for the Rattlers’ pitching staff, who held on for the win.
Wisconsin batters picked up 10 hits on the day, with Matthew Wood and Alex Hall each tallying a pair.
The Rattlers will look to make it three in a row tonight in Cedar Rapids.
Edwin Jimenez will battle the Kernels’ Kyle Jones at 6:35 p.m. at PG Cares Field.
