The devastation that illegal dumpers have left at the Chippewa Falls Senior Center has incensed the police in that city.
Police Chief Matthew Kelm posted on Facebook Tuesday to inform would-be thieves and dumpers that officers will increase patrols.
Every year, the Senior Center organizes a scrap drive to collect money, but the CEO claims that the location has turned into a landfill for everything from old couches to people’s unwanted stuff.
The CEO claims that thefts of precious scrap metal are making conditions worse.
Angie Walker of the Senior Center claims that although there have been instances of theft and dumping in the past, this year has been the worst.
