A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he fled from police.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was on patrol when he noticed a 34-year-old man walking in the Hobby Lobby parking lot just after 6:30 Monday evening.
This man was known to have an active warrant and bail conditions that he is not to have any contact with Hobby Lobby.
When the officer approached, the man reportedly hid behind some vehicles and laid down next to a truck.
A witness in the area pointed to the man for the officer, but when the officer approached, the suspect took off.
The officer took chase, pulling out his TASER, but didn’t have to use it as the man eventually complied and was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail.
The bicycle the man had with him had several bags on it containing items believed to have been stolen from several stores in the area.
As of now, the only charges filed against the man are Resisting, Felony Bail Jumping, and four counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, but more could be filed if the items are confirmed to have been stolen.
