Manitowoc Police to host local Cop on a Rooftop to benefit Special Olympics

Local police and a local eatery will combine for a fundraiser to support Special Olympics tomorrow (this) morning. The event is known as Cop on a Rooftop and is an annual promotion by Dunkin Donuts in cooperation with local police. It will take place from 5 to 11 a.m. at the Dunkin Donuts location at 3506 Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc on Friday, May 19th. Police and Special Olympians will be waving special signs and props and hosting games and other activities for guests. Each guest who makes a donation to support Special Olympics will receive a coupon for a free donut, while those donating $10 or more will receive a coupon for a free medium hot coffee. Funds raised go directly back to the athletes. Over the past ten years of the event, Cop on a Rooftop has raised more than $430,000 for Special Olympics Wisconsin.
