
Following a spate of vehicle thefts, the sheriff of Waukesha County is advising residents to lock their vehicles and remove their keys.
In the past three days, five cars were reported stolen, and numerous others were broken into in Delafield, Pewaukee, Sussex, Merton, and Lannon, according to the sheriff’s office’s report from Wednesday.
According to deputies, all of the vehicles were unlocked and the keys were still in the stolen vehicles.
The sheriff’s office is advising folks to watch out for unusual activities moving ahead and not leave their keys in their vehicles.
