The Green Bay Police Officer accused of running his car into a suspect has been released on a $2,500 signature bond.
Officer Matthew Knutson was in Brown County Court Wednesday morning as he faces charges of Misconduct in Public Office and Negligent Operation of a Vehicle.
The incident in question occurred in November 2021, where dash cam footage shows Officer Knutson chasing down a man with warrants out for his arrest.
The man was on a sidewalk, and Knutson drove his squad car up onto the sidewalk, striking the man with it before taking him into custody.
The man later informed a different police officer of what happened.
Officer Knutson was suspended in October after the Police Department was made aware of the situation.
