The man who drowned in the Sheboygan River has been located and identified.
The Sheboygan Fire Department, Sheboygan County Dive Team, the DNR, the Coast Guard, and local law enforcement were all back in the water yesterday searching for the individual who was reported to have gone underwater near Rotary Riverview Park at around 7:00 p.m. Monday.
According to Fire Chief Eric Montellano, Sheboygan County divers were able to find the body of 25-year-old Lee Lor at around 10:45 a.m. thanks to help from sonar devices.
The Sheboygan man’s body was roughly 12 feet below the surface of the river and was recovered thanks to a DNR remotely operated vehicle.
Lor’s body was turned over to the Sheboygan County Coroner for an autopsy.
